4 Haikus. Station Plaza health Centre

window-frame1

WHAT DOES A WINDOW FRAME?

Trees are so trusting

at their most vulnerable-

each leaf a promise.

Glass aches for the sheer

extravagance of warm air

all day, all night long.

Autumn has woven

veins of gold into brocade.

How long will it last ?

Just before snow falls

silence opens like a thought.

Listen birds, listen……

the constant MIRAGE

This wave has never broken before,

these clouds have never risen, or rained,

nor can this breath be breathed again;

a goldfinch cannot pierce the sky

or improvise the same song twice….

Not one shadow – nothing remains.

 Birdsong, cloudburst, breath, wave,

Only by changing remain the same.
